Today was General Conference and we were very excited tolearn that there will be temple built in Calgary! Yeah for Calgary! Today was also the day that we were supposed to have our family picturestaken at 4pm and hopefully be done in time for Marc to make it to Priesthoodsession. Well, it rained cats anddogs ALL DAY! So, we had to cancelour pictures for another day but we did get our Halloween costumes today.
We will be.drumroll please..a pirate family! J At first, this year Aden wanted again to be a train conductor but lately we've been reading a fewpirates books and he's decided that since pirates are rough and tough, theymust get the most candy so he wants to be whatever will get him the most candy! Smart kid. He also got to go on his first field trip with preschool onFriday. They headed off to Hee Hawfarms where they saw pigs, got to go on a hayride-he was disappointed a traindidn't pull them around-just a tractor. But he did think he was really cool to ride a big yellow school bus forthe first time and he let me know that he sat way in the back because that'sthe coolest. He was so tired afterI picked him up, that he fell asleep eating lunch.
Lincoln and I went to his first storytime while Aden was inschool. At first, Linc was a bitwary but after a few songs, he warmed right up and loved it. We'll definitely do it again next week. It was fun to get out with just him anddo something. He is trying to hard to say words. If you ask him a question,he'll wait until you're done talking, then look you right in the eye and"answer" back making sounds and nodding just like you should know what he's saying. He's also learned how tofold him arms all by himself for prayers. He'll usually wait until the Amen to unfold them too.
I didn't get to go with Aden on his field trip so nopictures there and I forgot to take my camera to the library but I did takepictures today of "the boys" (Marc included) outside playing in the rain. Marc and Aden built a dam in the gutterso the water couldn't go by then wrecked it of course. Marc has fond memories of doing thatwith his dad so the tradition continues. Linc just wandered around through puddles with his hands held palms upmost of the time. I think he was alittle confused about where the water was coming from with no sprinkler around. (We made a video of Marc and Aden wrecking their dam so when I showed Aden the pictures of him jumping into the puddles, he asked "Where's the sound?" Oops, guess we'll video that next time)
Before we bought our Halloween costumes online today, we headed to DI (the local consignment store) to try and find some. No luck but we did walk away with not one, not two but three double strollers! They are in great shape and Marc issure we can resell for more than we bought them for. I hope so or we'd better hope we have six kids all atonce! J So, if anyone is on the lookout for a double stroller, Iknow a lady who has three.
