Well I just wanted to posts a few pics of some of our summer fun.  It was Ryan and Carolyn's Birthdays July 16th, Evan made 3 cakes!  Also, we bought a huge Geo-Trax set for Aden and put it in the basement of Mom and Dad G's home.  There is a shot of Lincoln and his cousin Samantha too.

I am still here for a few weeks.  Hopefully, back in Utah for school.  Brooke is in Utah with the boys.  My folks are in Ottawa with family.  Ryan is in Utah at a Family Reunion. Evan and my quebec cousin (who is getting baptized Tomorrow) Carolyn are with me at the folks.

Being invovled with her learning about the gospel has been very special and may be a reason why I am here... as suggested by my brother.

I miss my wife and boys and my class at BYU.

My tounge is killing me from a treatment I do to get ride of the staph in my throat.  I gargle with Chlorhexadine 4x a day for 30 minutes and then gargle with a special bacteria culture they took for my mouth to fight the bad stuff.  My tounge feels like it was burned with hotcocco for... Today my cousin Carolyn was baptized.  She is the 2nd member from my moms side.  A pioneer for sure.  It was so wonderful to be here and involved. I think that the timing was right and fee blessed to have felt of this great spirit in missionary work.  It feels similar to working for DI, it`s just that this is so much more personal.

Carolyn came out here from Quebec to get a break and think.  She met one LDS girl and she just loved hanging out with them.  She has been a faithful FHE attendee since.  She started getting the sister missionaries over in May, when I got here in late June she was really invovled in her friends lives.  She was interested in the gospel but afraid at the same time.  She is the next generation from our family and when she retruns to Quebec she will be without family members.

She has excersized great faith and has a strong belief in the gospel.  She will go home with this expereince and friends here who love her.  We will anxiously help her and hope she will find support in Quebec.  She is wonderful and kind. I am so thrilled to be... (click here to read the rest)

So my cous Carolyn and her two friends went with me to Jasper.  None of us had ever been, but my parents promised to take her and since she is leaving and they are out of town I had the fortune to go.  We left at 4AM   I had a grand total of 2 hours sleep.

We drove up the 93 from the Transcanada. It is a long trip but well worth it.  It is one of the mosy beutiful drives I have ever done.  We stopped and went to the Columbia Ice Fields - where I stepped in galcier water to save my frisbee. We picked up Maurice from Ireland - a teacher who is visiting for the summer and with whom we sang Irish songs. We then went to Jasper and window shopped for a while and ate at a Chinese Place ti smelt nice but it was the worst i have ever had.

Then we went to Milign Canyon which is amazing and then went exploring up the river and walked on the rocks in the water.  It was cold but fun.  We saw a Black Bear cub, Mountain Goat, Sheep and Kangaroo Birds (Magpies that carolyn likes).

It was along drive home... (click here to read the rest)

I have to say that flying into Georgia and being there for 3 days was great.  The people really are so kind and it is a beautiful place covered in trees and rolling hills.  I miss the people I met there and I was only there for 6 weeks!  I took a bunch of pictures of the trip home, just as I did on the way there.  But since I was leaving I made sure to get a few of LDS Employment and DI and some of the folks I worked with.  It is such an incredible program and to see it going out to members and communities world wide was inspiring.  To see what direction the work of the Lord is going in coming out of obscerity and shining humbly to the world.
