Well I have been in Calgary for the 10 days looking forwork. Things in the States are very tight in trying to get a job; in fact things in Calgary are similar. However, I did have a phone interview with Wood's Homes Youth and Family Services and I felt it went great. So I came up for an interview and I've gotten an offer, which I will sign on Friday. So looks like were moving to Calgary end of next month! I am excited and going crazy trying to get ready and figure things out for moving. It is a hard move for us because of our great friends in theUS and we will especially miss Brooke's family. But I am getting my US Citizenship on the 2nd of July and getting my license in Utah, just in case we end up in the States down the road. The place I am going to work is called Eastside Family Clinic. It's a free walk-in clinic for anyone needing mental health services. Things are sure different as far mental health in Canada, but I'll figure it out. I start August 4th. Well here is the link to the place... (click here to read the rest)

Marc did it! He graduated on April 24, 2009 with his Masters in Social Work. My mom's brother passed away a few days before so with that and graduation, we had a lot of family in town. Thanks to all you made it. We are now in the process of looking for jobs-it's more than a little scary to be all grown up and having to find work but hopefully something will come along soon. Marc also has his citizenship interview May 20th so hopefully he'll pass the test! He did have one job offer so far in Ely, Nevada. It's a very small town in the middle of central Nevada at a boys ranch for troubled youth. He would be one of the therapists there. There are still some things that need to be worked out so we're still looking into things but we'll see. Lincoln turned 2 on April 28th! He weighs in at 20 lbs 6 oz. He's pretty little with most people thinking he's about 14 months old. They think he runs so well for his age :) We've had a bit of a struggle the last week with potty training. He was doing so well but lately he's been... (click here to read the rest)

I've really got to post some pics but it's past 11pm and I'm tired so maybe tomorrow. Lincoln has done great with potty training-we've been accident free for about 5 days now-both number 1 and number 2-YEAH!!! Hopefully this continues but I think it will. We only ever made it to size 2 diapers-he's a little guy. We get weighed again the end of April and we'll post stats then but month and a half ago, he weighed 19 lbs 11 oz-he'll be 2 April 28th. In other news, Marc has less than a month left of school so we gearing up for the final stretch. BYU doesn't have a spring break so it's been go, go, go. Hopefully, we'll find a job soon. He'll be graduating with his Masters in Social Work. I got to spend the last weekend in Boise with my dad and sisters for our yearly girls' weekend-we missed last year because Traci had her baby early so last time we had a girls weekend in Boise, Lincoln was about 6 months old so he came along. This time, Amber and I were the ones with no babies and man it was so fun to have no kids to... (click here to read the rest)

We've spent the last week attempting to potty train Lincoln. What a nightmare!!! He's only 22 months so still pretty early but we thought maybe he was ready since he would bring me a diaper just about every time he went. Starting last Thursday, we've tried to stay home as much as we could and see how it goes. It went horrible. By Friday night, after two full days of no shower and pretty much going nowhere, I turned it over to Marc for the evening. I said if he doesn't show some kind of sign of getting this by Sunday, I'm all done. We would take him every 20-30 min and then every 5-10 min when he didn't go after that. By the time we'd get to about 45 min, he'd sit for about 10 min on the toilet and nothing. No joke, about 30 seconds after he got up, he pee right in his underwear-happened almost every time. Final straw was on Friday night when Marc had been sitting with him for about 15 min-it'd been about an hour since he'd gone. Finally, Marc gives up and is going to let him get down. Linc stands right up on the... (click here to read the rest)

We, meaning me since Marc had school, were able to take the kids to the Draper Temple Open House about 2 weeks ago. It was a neat experience. Aden recently turned 5 and it was such a good age. He was really interested in everything and asked lots of questions. It was a cold night but lots of fun. I got this tent at a garage sale last summer and set it up last week. I thought it would be up for a day or two but it hasn't come down yet. We've played and played, and even slept in it. Aden wanted to sleep in it the other night. Sure, why not? Well, I came in before heading to bed and found that Lincoln had decided to join him. He wants to do whatever Aden does, even refusing to sit in his booster seat and wanting to sit on a normal chair because Aden does. It can get frustrating but I'm glad Linc loves his big brother so much! Lincoln has also learned how to put on his own shoes, especially his rain boots, and this coming week we're going to attempt potty training. He's only 22 months but I think he... I always start out these posts the same way but once again,it's been awhile since I've posted. So...Christmas has happened. We were able to spend about 10 days in Calgary with Marc's family and Santa found us! Aden wantedOptimus Prime and Tinker Toys and Lincoln got a bouncy horse and a toolstation. It was great to spend time with family. Jen had a New Year's party for the kids and then we were able to do another New Year's party with the Chins and kids-we rang in the New Year at 5:30pm. It was great so thanks to Lisa and Jen for being willing to put on partys. Too bad our camera battery was dead for most of the activities we did in Calgary so not a lot of pics to post. There is one of us at the Airdrie lights we went to Dec. 30th-it was freezing!!! We celebrated my 27th birthday, Jan 3rd,driving through hazardous if not impossible to travel on, so said the road report, road conditions in Montana. We left Calgary on the 2nd and made it home the afternoon ofthe 4th. ... (click here to read the rest)

Well, since Jon didn't understand the title of the post, I'll explain. This year for Christmas, I felt like we already had enough toys so maybe gift certificates for Aden to do some things-swimming, soccer, etc would be fun. Landon, his cousin, drew Aden's name so we asked if they would buy tickets to ride the Polar Express. We went on the 10th of Dec. It was a good trip although I don't think I'd do it again. It quite expensive to not that great of an experience and the kids have to be just the right age probably between 2-4 years old so I'm glad we went this year but we won't go again probably. The other pictures are of the City of Provo's nativity. They tell the story indoors and then have animals outdoors for the kids to see/pet. We also did that the first part of Dec.

That's right! We've been home about 6 days now and I'm finally getting around to posting about our trip. We went to the Mayan Riveria for a week during the week of American Thanksgiving. We left our kids in the great care of my older sister and headed off. Marc's parents were already there and we invited my mom to come with us also. Since it's cheaper to go as a couple, she invited my older brother to come with her. For the most part, we're glad he came :) J/K Ryan. It was a pretty lazy week. We laid on the beach, played some beach volleyball, a little frisbee in the pool, watched a few good shows at the resort and we had our first experience scuba diving in the ocean. On Thanksgiving Day, we did two dives in a small town called Akumal. The water was perfect. We even saw a few sea turtles. We went down about 90 feet. We also went parasailing. I thought it would be scary being up 300 feet but it's actually really laid back. It was a great break but it's been a crazy week trying to catch up. By the time we got... Well, we've been up to having lots of fun lately but we've been really slow in getting things posted. On Nov. 1st, we headed up to Pleasant Grove with friends, the Turleys, the Heehaw farms. We rode down a giant hay slide, an animal train, got lost in the corn maze, shot ears of corn with a gun type thing, the kids played in a corn box (like a sand box but with corn instead.) It was a fun Saturday. Then, just last night we attended New Kids on the Block. Marc loved loved them as an 11 year old and he still has the shirt to prove it. He proudly wore it last night. I remember playing with the Barbies of New Kids so I didn't really know any of the songs but a concert's a concert and it was fun! We started off the night with dinner at the most romantic spot ever, Denny's (hopefully you can hear the sarcasm in my voice) but it was the fastest place to go to and it was good actually. The last pictures are of today where Aden decided to draw the entire family-he drew, glued and stuck the stickers on all by... (click here to read the rest)

Well, I haven't downloaded the pictures yet but I will. We headed down to Layton this weekend. My dad was up from Boise visiting Traci's baby in the NICU in Ogden so he asked if we'd meet him and go swimming at his hotel. We don't get to see him very often we headed up and Aden and Lincoln loved it-sleeping in hotel, eating out, swimming. It was great. Then, we headed up to Logan to attend my cousin Hailey's reception. That was fun also. Aden got to see his cousins-which he loved and I got to see my sister, mom and cousin Mandy. It was so nice to see everyone. Why is it someone has to get married or die for us to get together? Silly. We saw Dan and Traci on Friday in Layton also. They came up for dinner with dad and it may be there last week doing anything without baby Jax in tow. If all goes well this week, he'll be coming home next week. Traci said he's 6 lb 1 oz and doing great. That's really good news since he wasn't even due until Dec. 6th. Marc and I are headed to Mexico in about 12 days... (click here to read the rest)
